CA ELAP Laboratory Assessment Program
The California Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (ELAP) Laboratory Assessment Program is a program developed by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) to accredit laboratories that perform environmental testing in the state of California. The ELAP Laboratory Assessment Program is designed to ensure that laboratories that perform environmental testing have the necessary expertise and resources to accurately and reliably test environmental samples.
To become an accredited laboratory under the ELAP Laboratory Assessment Program, a laboratory must demonstrate that it has the necessary personnel, equipment, and procedures in place to perform environmental testing. This may include demonstrating expertise in specific areas of environmental testing, having a robust quality management system in place, and having the necessary equipment and personnel to perform testing and evaluations.
Accredited laboratories under the ELAP Laboratory Assessment Program are required to undergo regular evaluations to ensure that they continue to meet the necessary standards and are able to accurately and reliably test environmental samples. This helps to ensure that the results of environmental testing in California are reliable and accurate, which is important for both consumers and regulators.
The California Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (CA ELAP) Laboratory Assessment Program is designed to help environmental labs meet the assessment requirement for California's new regulations.
The State Environmental Laboratory Assessment Program is covered under environmental field of testing and is designed to help laboratories meet the assessment requirements of the state in which they are seeking certification.
We offer a wide variety of accreditation programs and assessment services for labs in the Environmental Field of Testing, making it easy to schedule and complete your assessments.
The California State Water Resources Control Board has provided two helpful checklists that labs can use to prepare for their ELAP assessment. Once is specific to the TNI Standard and one is specific to the State of California. These checklists are free to download and will help you determine your labs readiness for assessment.
